The year of 2020 was a paradigm shift in so many aspects. While Corona virus hit, forcing us all to change our lives and systems, I took the chance to let the same happen to me on a personal level — changed my location, lifestyle and activity to allow the inner voice within me to gain form, shape and sound.

This aesthetic I have been working on seems to be a clear reflection of my personality — it is extremely rational and organized but, at the same time, very busy and dynamic. Suddenly, these patterns became the fingerprint of my work and I felt the need to understand them from a simple starting point — black and white.

At the two most extreme end of the color spectrum are black and white. White often represents innocence, purity and new beginnings. Black, on the other hand, can be seen as conservative or intimidating, but it is often associated with sophistication, luxury, confidence and strength.

I find it beautiful how these two colors combined exalt the beauty of natural landscapes, portraying balance, harmony and neutrality.
