Sara Pignatelli is a Portuguese visual and music artist, based in Ericeira.

Through beautiful sounds and aesthetics, Sara reminds us of our relationship with the vegetable and animal kingdoms and that there is something greater than ourselves.

Between Lisbon and London, she graduated in Arts and Fashion Design, passing through institutions like Escola António Arroio, Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion.

Sara's personality and artistic depth have been significantly shaped by pivotal life experiences. Growing up with a father who battled bipolar disorder instilled in her an early awareness of the intricacies of the human psyche.

During her high school years, she ventured into the realm of psychedelics, including LSD and Psilocybin, attributing them to her academic excellence.

Sara's relentless quest for understanding the human condition and her profound discomfort with the urban lifestyle's detachment from nature, led her to explore sacred plant medicines in 2014.

During a plant diet in Peru in 2018, she began receiving medicine songs and translating her psychedelic visions onto canvases.

It was, however, in the solitude of 2021's lock-down that she began to explore the depths of her instrument - her beloved guitar, affectionately named "Fantasy".

Sara's creativity is deeply rooted in her intimate connection with sacred plant medicines, such as Ayahuasca, Huachuma, Peyote, Psylocibin and Kambo.

She splits her time between nature and bustling cities, a duality that is unmistakably permeated her creative processes. Music wise, she explores everything from raw natural sounds and beats to strong electronic synthesizers. In her paintings, she combines digital tools with traditional craft techniques.

Her artistry is a clear reflection of her dynamic, charismatic, colorful, humorous and intelligently provocative personality, that never stops raising questions and challenging the status quo.

we owe our talent and creativity to this planet
